What a story! It breaks my heart to read it as a parent and as a teacher. It is rare to read the story of a child. To go back to the classroom and to remember what schooling did to us. What we loved and hated about it and how we grew up slowly through the grades. What a warrior you are!❤️

Thank you for reading so intimately Alaknanda. Despite a few falls and bruises, I deeply cherish my school life. It shaped me to be who I am today in many ways. So I wouldn’t take away the heartache of this 10 year old. How else will she find her voice? We are all warriors in our stories. Even when we come back lost and wounded, we are warriors, still.
